New polling commissioned by MIRS shows Democratic gubernatorial candidate Shri THANEDAR surging in the polls following a series of statewide media ads where the former chemist and entrepreneur helps voters pronounce his name.

According to the survey of 500 likely Democratic primary voters between Mar. 6-8, in a straight head-to-head lineup (no biographical information provided) Thanedar is in a strong second position with 20 percent of the vote compared to 34 percent for former Senate Minority Leader Gretchen WHITMER the current front-runner.Thanedar has gained 18 points since polling conducted in November of last year.

But Whitmer has gotten the endorsement of several members of the Dem Congressional delegation.  Whitmer got the nod from U.S. Reps. Debbie DINGELL(D-Dearborn), Dan KILDEE (D-Flint Twp.), Brenda LAWRENCE (D-Southfield) and Sandy LEVIN (D-Royal Oak).
