101st House District
Looks like things are OK for the House GOP in the 101st. The 101st district, which includes Mason, Manistee, Benzie, and Leelanau counties, is currently represented by Rep. Curt VanderWall. Recently, VanderWall announced his intention to run for the Michigan 35th State Senate seat instead of seeking re-election to the House.
Longtime WTCM morning radio host Jack O’Malley today announced his run for the Michigan House of Representatives 101st District. O’Malley, a resident of Almira Township, announced his intention to run on his popular radio show this morning.
“I’ve spent over 30 years, every weekday morning, having a discussion with the people of northern Michigan,” O’Malley said. “I’ve interviewed politicians, business and community leaders and plain folks all over our area – and have done my best to promote all the great things we have to offer as a community on the radio. Now, it’s time to turn the page. I intend to take the same passion, patriotism and perseverance to the state legislature in Lansing and fight for the people of northern Michigan there.”
O’Malley will run for the Republican nomination in August and touts his conservative beliefs of lower taxes, less government and more freedom while caring for those who are unable to care for themselves.
