Breaking today was an announcement this morning that the MSU College Republicans unanimously endorsed Dave Dutch for MSU Trustee. Due to the recent firestorm around some of the decisions made by the current Trustees – the move is especially timely – as the College GOP cites Dutch’s character, business and military leadership. From Dutch’s release:
Traverse City, MI – Today Dave Dutch announced that he has received the unanimous endorsement of the MSU College Republicans for his campaign seeking the Republican nomination to the Michigan State University Board of Trustees.
The MSU College Republicans released the following statement endorsing Dave Dutch:
“Dave Dutch’s character and background are exactly what Michigan State University needs in a Trustee. His experience as a business leader, as well as military leader, give Dutch the right stuff to get MSU back on track and continue to be a model university for its students. Michigan State College Republicans gladly give Dave Dutch our full support.”
Dave Dutch released the following statement accepting their endorsement:
“My mom and dad met at Michigan State, my dad worked at the University for 52 years, I was born in East Lansing, I received my MBA from the Broad School of Business at Michigan State, I started a scholarship for my fellow veterans to attend Michigan State, and three of my four children are currently students at Michigan State. In short, I am a Spartan. And every Spartan knows the school we love needs healing and change. That is why I am so proud to have the strong support of the MSU College Republicans who are working every day to earn their degrees while also doing all they can to strengthen the MSU community. I will be working shoulder to shoulder with them as move toward the nominating convention in August, in the campaign this fall and as their voice on the MSU Board. Every MSU student can trust that my door will always be open to their concerns, their ideas, and I will not stop working until we restore the trust in our great university.”
